ASKED QUESTIONS

Here you find the answers for the most common questions before an appointment:

You do not need a referral to see a registered physiotherapist. However, if you have extended health care, you should check to see if they require one when submitting receipts for reimbursement.

As a registered physiotherapist in BC, my physiotherapy services are covered under extended healthcare plans (EHP) and Achieve Health accepts all the insurances.

Achieve Health offers direct billing for most insurance companies. You may want to clarify with the reception when booking your appointment.

Parking is free and plentiful at Achieve Health.

No, I am not a WorkerSafeBC provider at Achieve Health.

Yes, I am an MSP provider.

Yes, I am an ICBC provider.

I recommend wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. In many cases, I’ll need to assess how you move. For example, if I were treating your knee, shorts would be preferred. Shoulder injury? A tank top or camisole helps! For sessions when you’ll be moving a lot, workout wear is your best bet.

The first visit is always an assessment. I’ll listen to your story, do my clinical exam and take time to discuss with you the best treatment options for your injury or cause of pain, or dizziness. We may have time start treatment at the same day, but generally treatment begins on your second visit.

"My initial appointment with Heric was very thorough. He asked a lot of questions to determine my state of health and made the point of clarifying any issues. He then did a hands on assessment of my injury adding encouragement. Then I was provided with various homework exercises to complete daily in preparation for our next meeting. All in all, very impressive."
